Parts of the Training Program

This training program has three phases.

Phase 1: This phase is about learning your job responsibilities after becoming a nurse health coach. There are several stages in this 60-hour program. First, the duties of a nurse coach will be discussed. Next, you will learn about your job responsibilities and how to improve your career. You will be introduced to the different aspects of being a nurse coach and how you should do your job diligently.

Phase 2: The coaching practicum is an essential component of the program. It provides an opportunity to apply what you have learned in the classroom to a real-world setting. The practicum also helps you to develop important skills, such as time management and communication. In addition, you get a chance to meet and work with other students who are pursuing the same goal. By working together, you can learn from each other and build a support network that will help you succeed.

Phase 3: After completing the 7-month course, you become eligible for the NCBC examination. This exam will also allow you to appear for two AHNCC certifications: Wellness Nurse Coach and Board-Certified Nurse Coach and Board-Certified Health. The exam tests your knowledge of health coaching theory and practice and assesses your ability to apply the ICF Core Competencies of Health and Wellness Coaching in a coaching engagement. In order to pass the exam, you must demonstrate proficiency in each of the core competencies. After passing the NCBC examination, you will receive your AHNCC certifications. These credentials will serve as evidence of your expertise in health and wellness coaching and will open up new opportunities for career advancement.
