USHEALTH turned just another ordinary, sunny day in north Texas on December of 2017 into something extraordinary. The USHEALTH advisors created a feeling of warmth in the community due to their support of the Toys for Tots campaign initiated by the United States Marine Corps. USHEALTH has considered Fort, Worth Texas their home since the year 1982. The agents of USHEALTH have held Toys for Tots close to their hearts for the past five years. This responsibility is a voluntary, social program that has become a big part of the annual employee luncheon for the company. The agents of USHEALTH went far past all the considerable efforts they had made before and donated a staggering 975 toys. These toys were given to the children of north Texas to ensure they had a gift for the Christmas season.

Bill Shelton is the Senior Vice President of Marketing for USHEALTH. He stated this was the biggest donation the company has ever been able to provide Toys for Tots. He was very proud of his company last year when 600 brand new toys were donated to the campaign. This year he feels blessed with the group of individuals working for USHEALTH and stated they were compassionate, caring and assets for a great company. The CEO and President for USHEALTH is Troy McQuagge. He attended the holiday luncheon and yearly appreciation event for the agents. This was when the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Corporal Smith and Lance Corporal Pak were presented with the mountain of toys.

A short time after the presentation ceremony, Troy McQuagge spoke to almost 400 attendees. He talked about his belief that it requires better people to build a better company. He believes the reason USHEALTH is more compassionate than nearly any other business in America is due to the people. They remain consistent all year but their values are especially obvious during the holiday season. He said they are responsible for making USHEALTH better. The goal of the Toys for Tots program of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve is the collection of unwrapped, new toys every year during the months of October, November and December. These toys are distributed to the communities less fortunate children as Christmas gifts during the course of the campaign. The main goal of the program is to bring hope to the less fortunate youngsters with a new toy for Christmas. The program is helping these children become productive, responsible and patriotic citizens.
